Susan Margaret Collins (born December 7, 1952) is an American politician who is the senior U.S. Senator from Maine since 1997.[1] She is a moderate[2] in the Republican Party. Collins was elected to the Senate in 1996. The Senator was born December 7, 1952.
On February 13, 2021, Collins was one of seven Republican senators to vote Donald Trump guilty of starting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol attack in his second impeachment trial.[3]
