Stanton County (standard abbreviation: ST) is a county in the U.S. state of Kansas. In 2020, 2,084 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is Johnson City.[2]

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 680 square miles (1,800 km2). Of that, 680 square miles (1,800 km2) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2) (0.01%) is water.[3]

Although the Kansas Constitution was changed in 1986 to allow the sale of alcohol, Stanton County is still a "dry" county.[9]
