Fulton is a city in Bourbon County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 165 people lived there.[3]

Fulton was first known as Osaga, and it was created as Osaga in 1869.[4] The name changed to Fulton in 1878, after the city of Fulton, Illinois.[5][6]

A post office was created under the name Osaga in 1869.[7]

Fulton is at 38°0′35″N 94°43′11″W / 38.00972°N 94.71972°W / 38.00972; -94.71972 (38.009842, -94.719734), along the Little Osage River. The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.19 square miles (0.49 km2). All of it is land.[2]

In 2020, there were 165 people, 51 households, and 32 families living in the city. The population density was 859.4 inhabitants per square mile (331.8/km2). 79.4% of the people were White, 1.2% were African American, 0.6% were Native American, 4.8% were from other races, and 13.9% were from two or more races. 12.1% of the people were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[3][8]

In 2010, there were 163 people, 63 households, and 45 families residing in the city. The population density was 857.9 inhabitants per square mile (331.2/km2). 90.2% of the people were White, 3.7% were Native American, 0.6% were African American, 1.2% were from other races, and 4.3% were from two or more races. 5.5% of the people were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[9]

In 2000, there were 184 people, 71 households, and 47 families residing in the city. The population density was 975.4 people per square mile (373.9/km²). 94.57% of the people were White, 3.26% were Native American, 0.54% were Asian, and 1.63% were from two or more races. 0.54% of the people were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[10]
