O Theatre District é uma área de Midtown Manhattan onde a maioria dos teatros da Broadway se localizam, assim como vários outros teatros, cinemas, restaurantes, hotéis e outros lugares de entretenimento. Estende-se da 40th Street até a 54th Street, e do oeste da Sexta Avenida ao leste da Oitava Avenida, incluindo a Times Square.[1] The Great White Way é o nome dado à seção da Broadway que passa pelo Theatre District.
Theatre Row, uma área na 42nd Street que vai da Ninth Avenue (Nona Avenida) até a Eleventh Avenue (Décima-primeira Avenida) que contém diversas das peças Off-Broadway e Off-off-Broadway, pode ser considerada parte do Theatre District, embora não seja oficialmente parte dele.

Probably more appropriate for the purpose of defining the district is this interactive map Arquivado em 10 de fevereiro de 2011, no Wayback Machine. from the Times Square Alliance, a Business Improvement District organization dedicated to improving the Theatre District. Their definition of the district is an irregular area from 40th Street to 53rd Street from east of Sixth Avenue to west of Eighth Avenue. This area has been extended for the purposes of this article to 54th Street to include Studio 54, which is at the time of this writing (2008) a Broadway theatre.
