概要
English: This is one of the system of the size of the movable type called "Gosu Katsuji(号数活字、號數活字)". This image shows these size from the first(初) to 6th. The first(初) and 1st have different meaning. This system was imported by Motogi Shozo's group from christian missionary press in China. It was founded before point-system; they have own unique name. The first is "Four line small Pica", 1st is "Two line English", 2nd is "Two line small Pica", 3rd is "Two line Brevier", 4th is "English", 5th is "Small Pica", and 6th is "Brevier".
日本語: 活字のサイズの体系の一つである号数活字（號數活字）。初号から6号までのサイズ体系を示す。初号は一号とは別の意味を持つ。この体系は本木昌造のグループが中国のキリスト教伝道の印刷所より輸入したものである。ポイント体系以前のサイズ体系であり、そのため夫々活字サイズには名前がある。名前については[[w:ja:活字#号数活字|]]を参照せられたい。 http://www.um.u-tokyo.ac.jp/publish_db/1996Moji/05/5901.html の「寄稿」のデータを測定結果に合わせた倍数関係をもとに作図。ただし、作図に当っては初号、一号、三号のみ参考にし、その他は上位サイズを四分割した。初号、二号はMOJもじくみがなSH版、一号、三号、六号はKzhrによる六号の覆刻書体、四号、五号は築竹の築竹仮名による。
