Peter Tchad Tigar Levi, né le à Ruislip et mort à Frampton-on-Severn (en) le , est poète, archéologue, jésuite de 1948 à 1977, écrivain voyageur, biographe, universitaire, auteur et critique anglais. Il fut professeur de poésie à l'université d'Oxford (1984-1989)[1].
Bibliographie[modifier | modifier le code]
De père juif originaire d'Istanbul et de mère anglaise, il fut éduqué dans la foi catholique. A 17 ans il décide de se faire prêtre et rentre chez les Jésuites. En 1977 néanmoins il abandonne la vocation de prêtre et se marie. Commence alors une longue carrière académique faite de voyages et donnant lieu à de nombreuses publications en tout genre.
