September 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Drenco has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.twitter.com/kaynaydrenco. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:31, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Before you edit....[edit]

Hi there. It might be a good idea to fully acquaint yourself with Wikipedia's Basic Policies and Guidelines before you edit or created articles in Wikipedia. That way your edits will adhere to Wikipedia's rules and won't be challenged. Please read through these 3 guidelines (Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, Wikipedia:Citing sources & Wikipedia:Verifiability) to see why some of the material which you've added into the this article does not adhere to Wikipedia's rules. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 23:33, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Drenco. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 00:02, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Drenco[edit]

A tag has been placed on Drenco requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Amsaim (talk) 00:12, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as you did with this edit to Drenco. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. -- Rrburke (talk) 00:22, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is your final warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as you did with this edit to Drenco. WookieInHeat (talk) 00:33, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for Repeated inappropriate removal of speedy deletion nomination notices.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 01:35, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Drenco.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Request reason:

I have used multiple accounts to edit Wikipedia and while making use of these sock accounts I broke the rules at WP:ILLEGIT and was blocked by Admin, I understand that my actions violated Wikipedia policy but I'm requesting another chance and I promise none of this will happen again, I also will continue to make useful contributions to Wikipedia. Thank you.Stanleytux (talk) 11:39, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please have only one unblock request open at a time. Mkdwtalk 20:37, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Here are a few questions to help in assessing your unblock request.
  1. Can you explain exactly what was wrong with the way you used multiple accounts, why you did it, and how your editing in future will be different?
  2. Can you state whether or not you have edited without logging in while your accounts have been blocked?
  3. Can you comment on the suggestion that this unblock request in order to get round semi-protection that was placed on an article in order to prevent you from editing it while your accounts are blocked? JamesBWatson (talk) 16:45, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stanleytux (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

First of all, I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain things out, well, I joined Wikipedia in 2010, and though I created my first article at the time I never really got around to learning most of the rules here on the English Wikipedia. I took a long leave away from Wikipedia, and never edited for a long time. When I wanted to contribute again after the hiatus, I had problems with remembering my password but I eventually figured it out. After creating and editing a couple of articles with Stanleytux, I felt I needed to start all over again with a new account plus I didn't want to associate myself with the old account any longer so I created Alice Shedrack, at a time I felt it would look odd if all the articles I created and edited had the same username, so I decided to create different usernames for different edits and when I went over to Wikimedia Commons, I chose different usernames as well. I wasn't really warned by any editor or administrator during all of this so I continued using multiple accounts until I had a misunderstanding with a couple of editors about one or two articles I created, this was when I started breaking the rules at WP:ILLEGIT. I never knew anything like Check User existed so I thought using sock accounts would solve my problem with the editors during the period but it never did. I was blocked by Admin and while logged out I edited a couple of times, through some of my friends' laptops because of IP detection but I was spotted by same Admin who blocked me once again. Honestly, I'm tired of being blocked and I have created and edited not just one but multiple articles since I joined wikipedia and still has a lot more legit things to do here, so I'm not only focused on one article, however, I will like to edit articles I created and try to improve them and make things right as I can so I thought sneaking around won't help matters so I decided to come out plain and request for unblock so I can sit back once again and contribute like every other wikipedian without worrying about getting blocked for evading a block. Truthfully speaking, I have learned my lesson and wish to continue to learn about wikipedia while editing and making useful contributions to the community in general.—Stanleytux (talk) 19:26, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

A discussion has taken place with two CU and one condition of your unblock request being approved will be that you will be subject to regular checks. Also, paid advocacy has been brought up as a concern so once again the amount of rope you will be given will be very short and at the discretion of sysops. Please proceed carefully. Mkdwtalk 02:25, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to consider unblocking you on the provisions that you acknowledge that you will not attempt to access your other accounts and will strictly adhere to the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, and specifically in the most conservation interpretations of WP:MEAT, WP:CANVASS, and WP:SOCK. While there are legitimate alternate accounts, considering your history with CU, I would strongly discourage you to not utilize those means. Please reply with your thoughts, Mkdwtalk 20:43, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I agree. I will refrain from using my other accounts henceforth and abide by Wikipedia's community rules and guidelines including WP:MEAT, WP:CANVASS, and WP:SOCK. Thank you. Stanleytux (talk) 06:21, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Stanleytux: I have reinstated your block as I was unaware of a policy that affects your unblock request. I am terribly sorry for my mistake and will notify the appropriate checkuser, DoRD, who can review and address your unblock request at this time. Mkdwtalk 23:27, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Stanleytux, as part of your unblock request, please disclose to us all your accounts that you have used to edit Wikipedia. Also, please be aware that you will be subject to periodic checks. Mkdwtalk 16:43, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Below is a list of the accounts. I don't think there's any more of them
And it's alright Mkdw, I understand you are following proper procedures. Thanks. Stanleytux (talk) 20:41, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Here's another account I missed on the list User:Yazata Anahita. Stanleytux (talk) 23:24, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits to the Duncan Mighty article. That's more like it. Duncan Mighty is a notable artist. versace1608 (talk) 02:08, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, although I kind of have the feeling the article can get better than it is at the moment you know. Stanleytux (talk) 02:14, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you do not mind and are not busy, could you please work on the Timaya article. It needs reliable sources and can greatly be improved. I figured you may be interested since he's from Port Harcourt. If you are doing other things, that's fine. versace1608 (talk) 19:05, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The P-Square article Comment[edit]

Greetings Stanleytux! While going through the history of the P-Square article, I realized that you reverted the edits made by User talk:172.243.128.84, and undid your edit. I have been trying to tell this user that instagram and Linda Ikeji blog are not reliable sources. The user cannot be reason with. He/she is currently block for one week. If the user comes back after a week and adds the same references to the P-Square article, he/she will get block again, and this time, it won't be for a week. I don't know the reasons why you undid your revert. Although the user isn't adding anything malicious, he/she can't go around adding sources that are not reliable. versace1608 (talk) 19:19, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I really didn't notice those references they added — doesn't mean they were needed anyway — but I did notice that those information were covered in one or two reliable sources in the section. Stanleytux (talk) 23:32, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nigerian films[edit]

Hi. Please note that ALL films are placed in the primary country category, per WP:FILMCAT, regardless of them being in the sub-genre cats. Compare the header of the American films cat, as an example. slow down please[edit]

Hi Stanley, I just looked at the number of categories you've created, I think a fair number of them are not in line with our policies, specifically around smallcat and around WP:EGRS. We only create intersections of ethnicity/descent + job when there is evidence that this particular intersection is discussed in reliable sources as a topic of study - thus Category:African-American musicians can exist, but Category:American musicians of polish-lithuanian descent cannot. The same applies to the many nigerian cats you've been creating. I'd suggest reviewing the relevant policies before creating new cats, as it's possible your work will be deleted.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 19:46, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

All the categories I've created exist in their hundreds on Wikipedia and no one is nominating them for deletion. I have disclosed to you a similar category and hope it gets nominated as well unless there are other reasons that they exist. If they don't get deleted, and mines get deleted, someone will recreate them someday. Imagine Category:Australian actors of Greek descent. I won't comment on this again. Stanleytux (talk) 20:16, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
while existence of similar cats is a sign that new cats can be created in the same vein, other things apply - for example just because we have Category:Gay writers doesn't mean we can have Category:Heterosexual writers because there aren't sufficient sources that talk about these as a group. If you can't find any sources that talk about the intersection of Nigerian + Norwegian + actress then it should be deleted. The australian-Greek one may have to go too I will take a look.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 07:15, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Clarence Peters[edit]

Greetings Stanleytux! Thanks for your edits to the Clarence Peters article. Can you please add the part about him being born in Ibadan to the article with a reliable source. I couldn't find information about his date of birth or place of birth. Also, the videography section of the article is missing tons of old music videos that Peters has directed. Your help will greatly be appreciated. By the way, I haven't fully listen to Lyrikal's new mixtape O.C.D. I like the two songs I've listened to so far. I have been bumping Jesse Jagz's new album; the album is fire. Versace1608 (Talk) 17:22, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I really admire your work on Clarence Peters. I spotted his birthplace a while ago, going through one of the websites that published an article on Olamide's life, the biography site was used on his article here on the English wiki. I'll see if I can find more links to some of the visuals he directed back in day. I'm glad you're starting to appreciate some 21st-century hip hop music. Keep that up. Flickr concerns[edit]

Greetings Stanleytux, After going through Fabiola Galindo's flickr account, I realized that he has uploaded pictures of people whose articles you have created or worked on. Is it just me or is this coincidental? The image the user uploaded of Mary Uranta was already uploaded onto this BlogSpot on 31 December 2013. I have doubts about Galindo being the rightful owner of this image. A food for thought: Not every user who claims to have ownership of an image actually owns the copyright to the image. I am not pointing fingers at you bro; I hope you are not the one who created this flickr account and uploaded the images for the sole purpose of using them on Wikipedia. I remember doing that before for images of Iyanya and Wizkid. Another user caught me right handed and deleted the images. (The resemblance in my usernames on Flickr and Wikipedia were too revealing). By the way, Uranta is beautiful. You guys are enjoying in Port Harcourt man. lol Versace1608 (Talk) 01:11, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's not my business to go on after the social network users especially outside of wikipedia. What concerns me here is that the images are licensed by flickr owner under Creative Commons 2.0 which is what is required. Stanleytux (talk) 01:47, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Location map of Elelenwo based on Wikimapia.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Location map of Elelenwo based on Wikimapia.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:28, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your reverts to my edits to the category: Nigerian gospel musicians[edit]

Hi User:Stanleytux I noticed you recently reverted my edits to the above category . Looking at the categorized nationalities of "Category:Gospel singers by nationality", I noticed only Nigeria had two categories, which was inappropriate. Shouldn't "Category:Nigerian gospel singers" be a sub-category of "Category:Nigerian gospel musicians" ? All I did was to rearrange the category in the appropriate order. "Nigerian gospel singers" was still a sub-category of "Nigerian performers of Christian music"

@Eruditescholar: I believe I've already explained the reason why your edits were reverted in the edit summaries. Also see the arrangements on Category:American gospel singers. As for the duplication of gospel categories, that has been fixed and please sign next time. Stanleytux (talk) 16:39, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that an article you created Rhythm 93.7 FM redirects to the Rivers State based frequency . Rhythm 93.7 are present in more than 5 states in Nigeria and they maintain 93.7 in most of the states as their frequency. I would have preferred if a single article is used for all the states since they are all owned by Silverbird Group. Darreg (talk) 22:46, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Darreg: I don't see how that is a problem. If you notice, the article is titled Rhythm 93.7 FM Port Harcourt When other pages are created for other cities, they will follow the same format (i.e Rhythm 93.7 FM + city name) and the redirect becomes a disambiguation page containing all Rhythm 93.7 FM stations. Yes you right, thanks for assisting, some pages already have templates which can be found in the Port Harcourt template. Such pages may not need the general PH template. Stanleytux (talk) 19:33, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Writer's Barnstar
Great Job ot Harcourt related articles. I actually searched for Port Harcourt barnster but I had to settle for this when I found none. If all regions in Nigeria can have at least 1 dedicated Wikipedian like you, the global awareness of our environment will be able to compete with that of developed nations. Reply To Message On Pyxon Talkpage[edit]

I went through the message you left on my wall and I thought to my self, with all what to typed, you could actually be referring to yourself 1.Hello Pyxon, Your words: "Also, R&B and RnB are both correct however R&B is the common term used across many articles and lists here on Wikipedia"

My Reply: R&B and RnB are the same thing as you amitted. Its also written in the rnb page of wiki. And you went ahead to remove what I wrote to put what you like. Isn't that personal opinion. You know thats funny cos in the same message you wrote on my page you wrote ...."You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia but please donot disrupt articles just because of your 'PERSONAL OPINION'". So who is letting personal opinion cloud the quality and genuity of his edit. cos you removed my edit to put what you liked without double checking the edit based on personal satisfaction.Thank you. pyxon (talk) 23:36, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't about whose spelling is better here, rather about "Order". While both spellings are right, it is best the most common term is maintained and that is the way it is on several other musician-lists. Let's not mix things up. Stanleytux (talk) 22:58, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

August 2014[edit]

Hi. The lamellophone image wasn't removed; it was instead moved to the instruments section. However, you added a duplicate of that file in place of the Um Kulthum image. I've fixed this duplication. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 19:02, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Duplication is not enough reason to add an irrelevant image that was never mentioned at the top of an article, besides Mbira was discussed at the lead of the article and the instruments section. Mbira is the only image that's fit to sit at the top of that article but if you insist that it must be at instruments section then I'm removing the irrelevant image you added there because it does not illustrate the article or its content. The lead will be left out of images. Thank you. Stanleytux (talk) 19:17, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Um Kulthum is probably the most famous singer of Egypt (a country in Africa). If she is irrelevant, then so is Miriam Makeba and all of the other musicians. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 19:21, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I donot have a problem with the image Midday. However, I do have a problem with it not being neutral, please move your image to the North Africa, that is where it is relevant not at the top, this is not Music of North Africa article. And Miriam Makeba was discussed in the section, an image I added was to illustrate the discussion there. Thank you. Stanleytux (talk) 19:26, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Per your recommendation, I've moved her to said area. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 20:21, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Shizzi[edit]

Hello Stanleytux. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Shizzi, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: award nominations are at least some indication of possible notability. sources do exist as well. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 21:13, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Award nominations claim backed up by sources that aren't reliable. Stanleytux (talk) 21:50, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Flavour N'abania[edit]

Flavour is known for Highlife. I've never heard him rap before. If you have, please provide the title of the song; I need to hear it. I know the information you added is sourced, but publications are not perfect. Newspaper editors make errors sometimes. Versace1608 (Talk) 22:43, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hip hop music isn't just about rap alone, it is a vast scene that includes singers and countless musical fusions. Stanleytux (talk) 22:49, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You're right about that. However, if multiple reliable sources do not brand Flavour's genre of music as Hip hop, we shouldn't be adding it. One reliable publication is not sufficient. I am not going to temper with your revision. Versace1608 (Talk) 22:59, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you a lot for creating this well-sourced and very topical article! Zezen (talk) 19:35, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stanleytux, thanks for reverting the edit made by User:Latertinsna. What do you think about the List of Nigerian rappers article only including notable rappers with articles on Wikipedia? Versace1608 (Talk) 05:17, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Versace1608: With over 30 pages of Nigerian rappers already created, the list should definitely be strictly for blue links and no more red links unless there's some evidence of notability and that the article can be created. (see WTAF). And I can see some entries that donot have a Nigerian nationality. These pages donot belong in the list and may be removed. Stanleytux (talk) 08:53, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Input needed[edit]

Hi Stanleytux, I'd appreciate it if you add an input here. Thanks in advance. Versace1608 (Talk) 19:23, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Versace1608: Thanks for letting know about this ongoing discussion on Nigerian nationality but as it stands at the moment, I don't think it will be right if I joined the discussion. I read the introduction and it says "This discussion is to get consensus from Nigerian editors on how they feel nationality should appear in the lead of BLP articles." I believe Wikipedia is a worldwide project and decisions made here which doesn't follow its policies and guidelines are hardly considered. Stanleytux (talk) 21:38, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I just want to add that before Tubers created the page, I took my concerns to several noticeboard, but wasn't able to get help from anyone. Tubers has plans of archiving the page once a consensus is reached. I understand and respect your decision not to partake in this discussion. Versace1608 (Talk) 21:50, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
By raising the same issue on several noticeboards as you have just said, you may have violated WP:FORUMSHOP. I guess that is probably the reason why you didn't get any response from Admins. Stanleytux (talk) 22:09, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't my intention. One of the administrators closed my comment and directed me to the help desk noticeboard. This is the reason why I posted my comments on multiple noticeboards. Versace1608 (Talk) 22:12, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Versace I just checked and I happen to find a few responses to your posts on the Noticeboards. I believe we can still go ahead with getting consensus among ourselves though.Darreg (talk) 22:16, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Darreg: The administrators who replied to my comments seem to agree with your stance. Perhaps the discussion may not be necessary after all. Versace1608 (Talk) 22:26, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone knows Wikipedia is a worldwide project with centralized policies. We are not doing anything that will contradict those guidelines, we are only clarifying minor issues not explicitly stated in the guidelines. I have seen consensus overrule disputed (or generalized) policies here on wikipedia. It is ok if you do not want to join (for reasons best known to you) but the claim that we are (or might be) breaching any rule by trying to gain consensus from interested participants is unfounded.Darreg (talk) 18:23, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus piece[edit]

Hello! I saw that you had done some work on the Hip-Hop portal and was wondering if you can help me change names for two articles. I believe that the article Jesus Piece (jewelry) should switch with the article Jesus Piece, an album by Game. The reason for this is because the Jesus piece jewelry is more notable than the album which is in fact named after the jewelry. We can change the jewelry article's title to "Jesus Piece" and then change the album's title to "Jesus Piece (album)".--ZiaLater (talk) 23:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@ZiaLater: Yes I have created a couple of Hip hop-related categories and edited a few articles related to the music, but I haven't done any work on the Hip hop portal yet. You sure it was my username you saw operating over there? I also tried to find the article you mentioned of but can't seem to find it anywhere. Can you be more clear in explaining this, I'd really love to help if it's something I can do. Stanleytux (talk) 00:29, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Stanleytux:, I would like to change the title of Jesus Piece (jewelry) just to "Jesus piece", but Game's album Jesus Piece already takes that title. Maybe we could rename the album page to "Jesus Piece (album)" and then switch Jesus Piece (jewelry) to "Jesus piece" afterward. I am just very bad at changing the names of articles.--ZiaLater (talk) 00:40, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
ZiaLater I believe this matter is something that can be discussed at the article's talkpage before moving the pages. You can head over there and start a discussion regarding moving the article to Jesus Piece (album). If the other editors donot respond after some days, then the pages can be moved. Stanleytux (talk) 01:18, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I left a message on the article's talk page but it doesn't seem like it is visited much. We will see after some days like you said.--ZiaLater (talk) 16:01, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Alright @Stanleytux:, it's been some days and there has been no response. I don't know how long we should wait before we make these changes but I just wanted to let you know before I get caught up in other articles.--ZiaLater (talk) 19:02, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi ZiaLater,

You can try requesting a page rename/move for Jesus Piece at WP:RM/CM. Just follow the instructions there if you encounter any more problems with the request or something you don't understand, you can let me know. Goodluck. Stanleytux (talk) 16:39, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I placed the page move here. I'm not sure how to close the discussion after seven days or if it happens automatically. Feel free to check it out!--ZiaLater (talk) 00:53, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Raw[edit]

Hi Stanleytux. Hope all is well on your end? According to this source published by Vanguard, Raw changed his stage name from Nigga Raw to Mr. Raw. Thanks for the corrections to the N'abania article. The article is a bit sloppy and was one of first articles I created when I started editing here. Versace1608 (Talk) 21:10, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know Raw had a switch of names sometime in his career. I also know that at the beginning, as the time that album was released, he was widely known by fans as Dat N.I.G.G.A Raw. The name is basically an acroymn for Dat Naija Guy Raw or something close to that. Anyways, I only corrected it from the censored version N**** Raw you had previously wrote. So instead of having the wrong spelling up, I replaced it with the correct spelling which is Dat N.I.G.G.A Raw. You can change it back to Mr. Raw but you know we can always redirect from former names (that is if a page ever gets created for the artist). Stanleytux (talk) 21:28, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Its fine man. There's no need for that. Versace1608 (Talk) 21:31, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

IP sock activity[edit]

Hi Stanleytux. I don't know what you did to the IP editor. Looks like he/she targeted several pages you created as a payback for nominating the Gerald Milton article. Just so you know, I reported the IP for sockpuppetry. I think that after getting block, the IP opened up three different accounts, all of which contributed to Gerald Milton's afd discussion. Image on Phyno[edit]

I noticed you said an image on Phyno's article should be removed because it was not in line with MOS:IMAGES. While I agree that the quality of such image was not appropriate for the lead of the article, it is totally in line with existing practice to let the image remain, since it is the only one we presently have on Wikipedia. I was able to easily identify that it was Phyno from looking at the image. I can still recall an administrator putting the only image of a french actress with a very low quality and bad positioning on her article. If there was a better image of Phyno then it will be ok to remove the image. I did not want to engage in an edit-conflict with you that was why I ignored it, I am pretty sure if a 3rd person looks at the case, they will re-add the image to the article. Darreg (talk) 21:38, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Darreg, Poor quality images (dark, blurry, etc) should not be used on any of Wikipedia's articles. (see MOS:IMAGES). If you happen to come across one that does not follow the guideline above, please remove it immediately from the article. Stanleytux (talk) 22:41, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rotimi Amaechi[edit]

I wanted to let you know that I undid a move you made on Rotimi Amaechi page per WP:COMMONNAME. You gave your reason for the move as his first name being Chibuike, but Wikipedia is more concerned about the name you are known as than your first name as a title. No one knows him as Chibuike, he is normally addressed officially as Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

But these names are never used as the titles of their Wikipedia pages because they are commonly known by some of their other names. Regards. Darreg (talk) 11:24, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Healthcare in Port Harcourt[edit]

I've been sorting out health categorisation. I propose to abolish the categories for health in cities. They are unhelpful. People interested in Port Harcourt are more likely to find the articles using Category:Healthcare in Nigeria.Rathfelder (talk) 14:58, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what is gained by a series of categories for hospitals in cities in Nigeria. Wouldn't it be better to categorise them by states?Rathfelder (talk) 20:18, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rathfelder, you can't just empty categories that is of good use to the project, and you still haven't done what Paul 012 suggested that you do. The right place where you can propose categories for deletion or recategorisation is at WP:CFD. Stanleytux (talk) 20:32, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have proposed the category for deletion. There were actually very few countries with hospitals categorised by city. Categorisation by city is inherently incomplete, because not all hospitals are in cities. But all hospitals are in states (in Nigeria) or counties or whatever is used in other countries. Can you tell me why this categorisation is useful? There don't seem to be a huge number of hospitals in Nigeria with articles. Rathfelder (talk) 20:39, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Stanleytux,

please before you make your reverts, be sure the contribution you're reverting is indeed inappropriate! You made several reverts recently, all of which are not right. Be aware that this is not helpful to the encyclopaedia and is infact disruptive. I also observed that you focused on reverting several edits I made, in a short time frame, and irrationally. I don't know what your reasons were, but I can take that as harassment! These two things can cause you to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is a friendly notice. Regards.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 22:57, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Agriculture in Rivers State, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Pepper and Yam. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
