This template should be used more[edit]

I prefer this template to the 19CBritChildrensLiterature (VBCL) one. There are many similarities and I would think VBCL is basically Victorian-era Children's literature anyways. Any thoughts? Maybe separating the author's section into different nationalities?

As of now, I have updated the Authors by adding those from the VBCL to this template. I plan to add the other sections as well although I'm so sure about examples of famous books for that list could get quite long. Perhaps the 10 most famous?

I have now merged some more VBCL authors to the list so this should be "comprehensive" enough. Next thing is to check that the authors are actually Victorian and link them to the appropriate pages. (For example, Anna Laetitia Barbauld died over 10 years before Queen Victoria's reign.) Most of the Authors use 1 or 2 middle names so perhaps changing the display of the names to what they usually use for themselves. (For example, L. T. Meade rather than Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith.) For now, rather than having a template section of titles I just linked the template to the list.

I don't think Edmund Evans should be listed as an illustrator. He was a printer and engraver who hired illustrators. I need to have a look at the rest of the changes. Truthkeeper88 (talk) 00:32, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name places[edit]

(This might not be the place to post this, but since this section applies to all links on this template it seems best to have it here)

While updating the infoboxes I'm realizing that many of the place names are outdated, for example from 1858 to1947 India is actually British India and the counties are sometimes historic and now replaced. For now I'm just making them all the same format and filling in the both date and place for both birth and death. I am adding very little otherwise, maybe an occupation or nationality but no major editing or adding info not already there.

So for now I'm not too worried if things aren't 100% historically precise, within a week or two I'm sure things will be fixed
