Pascal Mayer is a French scientist who was awarded the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences in 2022 for research paving the way for an inexpensive and rapid DNA sequencing technique.[1][2][3] In 2024, he was awarded the Canada Gairdner International Award.[4]
