Meng Yuan (Chinese: 梦圆; lit. 'Fulfilled dream'),[2] nicknamed Paule, is a male giant panda[3] born on August 31, 2019, in the Berlin Zoo in Germany.[4] Its parents are Sichuan-born[5] Jiao Qing and Meng Meng.[6] They are on lease from China for a provisional period of 15 years.[7]

Meng Yuan and its twin Meng Xiang were the first giant pandas ever born in Germany.[8] Meng Yuan is 48 minutes younger than Meng Xiang and is known for its mischievous, inquisitive nature.[9]

In December 2023, the two pandas were sent to China.[10]
