Kaan (Old Turkic: 𐰴𐰍𐰣)^[1] is a masculine given name and surname of Turkic origin, meaning "ruler", "King of Kings" (alternatively spelled as Kağan, Khagan or Hakan, meaning "Khan of Khans").

Bumin Qaghan (Old Turkic: 𐰉𐰆𐰢𐰣:𐰴𐰍𐰣, romanized: Bumïn Qaγan) was the founder of the First Turkic (Göktürk) Khaganate.
