Hipponoe (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Hipponoe (Ancient Greek: Ἱππονόη Hipponoê means 'unruly as a mare'[1]) was the "rosy-armed" Nereid,[2] marine-nymph daughter of the 'Old Man of the Sea' Nereus and the Oceanid Doris.[3] Her name means or 'the temper of horses' (i.e. waves).[4]
