Summary
| Description | English: The bridge across the proposed dam site in Sairandhri, Silent Valley National Park is located in the Nilgiri Hills, Coimbatore - Palakkad districts in South India. This was built as part of the preliminary work but the project was cancelled after the strong protest from around the world and stern initiative by the Late Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi prevented the hydroelectric project. This park conserve’s large population of Lion-tailed macaques, an endangered species of monkey. |
