Description
English: Portrait photograph of theatrical producer Sam H. Harris
  • Caption reads as follows:
Sam H. Harris was born in New York City in 1872. Thrown on his own resources at the age of eleven he began at once to carve out a future, which is now a part of Broadway history. First as a partner of the producing firm of Sullivan, Harris and Woods, he later became associated with George M. Cohan under the firm name of Cohan & Harris. He has produced a considerable number of play hits and is the lessee and manager of the Sam H. Harris Theatre, Music Box and Bronx Opera House in New York and the Grand Opera House and Sam H. Harris Theatre of Chicago. His most pronounced recent success is the mystery play The Spider.
