Description
English: The Experimental Apparatus with which the team of Otto Hahn, and Fritz Strassmann discovered Nuclear Fission in 1938. The arrangement was originally in 3 separate rooms: irradiation, measurement, and chemistry at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Chemistry in Berlin. A batch of Pertix batteries for electric power with connecting cables can be seen on the lower board. There are seven electronic valve bulbs (vacuum tubes) visible in the experimental setup.
Deutsch: Die Apparaturen, mit denen Otto Hahn und Fritz Straßmann 1938 die Kernspaltung entdeckten. Die Anlagen waren ursprünglich in drei Räumen des Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut für Chemie untergebracht. Bestrahlung, Messung und Chemische Analyse. Auf der unteren Platine befindet sich eine Reihe von Pertix-Batterien für die Stromversorgung mit Verbindungskabeln. Im Versuchsaufbau sind sieben Elektronenröhren sichtbar.
