"But for Samuel Goldwyn, Lois Moran might have become an expatriate. By giving her a role in 'Stella Dallas' he brought her back to the United States. Although born in Pittsburgh, Pa., March 11, 1909, she had been living in France with her mother ever since she was eleven years old. Her first films were made for a French company, and for years she had danced in the ballet of the Paris Grand Opera Company. Miss Moran is 5 feet, 1 1/2 inches high, weighs 118 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue-grey eyes."
