Etudes is an album by the American jazz bassist Charlie Haden and drummer Paul Motian recorded in 1987 and released on the Italian Soul Note label in 1988.[1] Haden and Motian were joined by pianist Geri Allen, with whom they had worked in her own trio.

Reception[edit]

The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4½ stars, stating, "The communication between these three masterful players is quite impressive".[2]
