Daran (Persian: داران), also Romanized as Dārān; also known as Dārānā,^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Daran Rural District^[4] of the Central District of Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 947 in 320 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 934 people in 374 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 900 people in 381 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.^[2]
