The 2020 West Virginia State Treasurer election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the state treasurer of West Virginia . Incumbent Democratic treasurer John Perdue lost re-election to a seventh term by Republican nominee, former state delegate Riley Moore . Primary elections were held on June 9. Perdue and Moore both won their primaries unopposed.
This was the first time since W. S. Johnson's victory in 1928 that a Republican was elected to the state treasures office.[1]
