Deutsch: Achtung, das Foto zeigt nicht die reale Situation vom 1. September 1939. Es handelt sich um eine Inszenierung des 14. September 1939 zu Zwecken der deutschen Propaganda ([1], [2]). Danziger "Landespolizisten" und Grenzbeamte stellen den Abriss des polnischen Schlagbaums an der Grenze zur Freien Stadt Danzig nach. Bei Sopot, am 1. September 1939
English: Attention, the photo does not show the real situation of September 1, 1939. It is a staging of September 14, 1939 for the purposes of German propaganda ([3], [4]). Polski: Uwaga, zdjęcie nie przedstawia autentycznej sytuacji z 1 września 1939. Jest to inscenizacja z 14 września 1939 na potrzeby propagandy niemieckiej ([5], [6]). Niemcy na przejściu granicznym w Gdyni Orłowie, dnia 1 IX 1939 r.
Română: Atenție, fotografia nu arată situația reală de la 1 septembrie 1939. Este o punere în scenă a zilei de 14 septembrie 1939 în scopuri de propagandă germană ([7], [8]). Soldaţi germani distrugând punctul polonez de trecere a frontierei de la Sopot, în septembrie 1939. Invadarea Poloniei a marcat declanşarea luptelor celui de-al doilea război mondial în Europa. Această imagine nu înfăţişează momentul real al trecerii în forţă a graniţei germano-poloneze, fiind o repunere în scenă a propagandei germane, câteva zile mai târziu.
